This test confirms the identification of methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) from isolates collected from invasive specimens. This test is for surveillance of invasive MSSA from patients who reside in Hennepin or Ramsey counties.

Isolates: Actively growing culture from an invasive site on media that support the growth of the bacterial isolate submitted.

Special Considerations

For surveillance use only. Results not reported back to submitter.

Transport/Stability
