This test confirms the identification of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) from isolates collected from invasive specimens. This test is for surveillance of invasive MRSA from patients who reside in Hennepin or Ramsey counties.

Isolates: Actively growing culture from an invasive site on media that support the growth of the bacterial isolate submitted.

For surveillance use only. Results not reported back to submitter.
