This test detects Francisella tularensis from clinical specimens. MDH will determine if additional tests are required, including culture. Brucella spp. real-time PCR and Burkholderia mallei/pseudomallei real-time PCR assays may also be performed on isolates submitted for Francisella tularensis testing.
