This test detects Coccidioides immitis and Coccidioides posadasii but does not differentiate the two. MDH will decide if additional tests are required, including fungal identification.

Specimen Requirements
Isolates: Actively growing culture on media that support the growth of the fungal isolate submitted.
Use slant with screw cap or ensure plates are sealed.
