This test identifies Candida auris by salt broth culture method. This test is generally performed on specimens that test positive or indeterminate for Candida auris by PCR.
C. auris testing is used as an aid in infection control in the detection of C. auris that colonizes patients in health care settings and is not intended to guide or monitor treatment of infection.
