This test detects Brucella spp. from clinical specimens. MDH will determine if additional tests are required, including culture. Francisella tularensis real-time PCR and Burkholderia mallei/pseudomallei real-time PCR assays may also be performed on isolates submitted for Brucella spp. testing.
