Overview/Supplementary
This test identifies Bacillus anthracis, Coxiella burnetii, Ebola virus, Francisella tularensis, Marburg virus, and Yersinia pestis using a FilmArray PCR. Results from this assay are presumptive only.
Additional testing may be performed at CDC.
Turn Around Time
1-3 days
Specimen Requirements
Specimens: Two EDTA blood tubes, 5 mL Vacutainer (or equivalent).
The second tube is required to send to CDC for additional testing, if needed.
